Please begin sending in your questions now. SciChat : Welcome, Joss! Thank you for coming to chat with us today. Joss : Anything to get out of my prison cell for an hour. SciChat : Shall we begin? Joss : I think we shall. SciChat : Okay, first question! MindyLu : Hi Joss! I'm a big fan of your work. How is Spike gonna show up on Angel though? Joss : James is going to stand in front of the camera and say a bunch of stuff that we tell him to. It's supposed to be a secret though, so don't tell anyone. DenverBoy32 : What episodes or stories would you change if you could go back and change them? Joss : I didn't like the episode of Star Trek The Next Generation where Tasha Yar has to play in this American Gladiators game... Oh! You mean from my shows? I don't know that I'd change anything from Buffy. There are things that didn't turn out the way I wanted them to, but in the end the bigger picture was still pretty much what I wanted it to be. As for Angel, I think last year felt a little off at times. We had to rework the plot a little, and I think that showed through. We're really working on making the show great and new for next year. Let's just say, it involves four different kinds of onion flavorings. Boo-Tay : I thought Buffy TVS was ending? What's this about another season? Joss : Yeah, I thought it was ending too. You shoulda seen all the pretty colors in my face when I realized that I had to actually follow up on what I did in the finale. SciChat : The New Season Of Buffy Will Premiere On TIN This Fall! Check Local Listings! LikeAnAmazon : New Buffy? Cool! What's it gonna be like? Joss : She's going to have four arms instead of two, and will communicate through her thoughts alone. It'll be cool! Hack-N-Slash : Is it true that Harmony is replacing Cordelia on Angel this year? Joss : The only person on Angel this year will be... Oh, you mean the series? We are talking to Mercedes about coming in for a few episodes, but we in no way see her as a replacement for Cordelia. Jayne : What's the deal with Firefly? I heard there might be a movie. Joss : We're still trying to work out the future of Firefly. There will be a future for those characters. I don't care if I have to go into a cave and draw the stories on the wall with a piece of charcoal, there will be a future. Meanwhile, the DVD set is on the way. Be sure to buy several of those. IMU : Any advice for those wanting to break into the business? Joss : You think I don't get that name, but I do. And you are not! Okay, maybe a little, but not much. Advice for those wanting to make it in the "biz" (that's what we in the biz call it. We're too lazy to spell out the entire word, so instead we spend the time typing up a long explanation for the term "biz"). My advice would be RUN! Run and don't look back. It's eeeeeeevil. buffyfan432 : Do you have a theme for the new season of Buffy? Joss : We plan to use the same theme song we've always used. But for the story arc... yes we do. DragonBallZebra : Who will be in season 8? Joss : The main cast that we've announced is Sarah, Aly, Nick, and Michelle. OOOooOOO : Why did you kill Anya? Will she be back? Joss : I ask myself these questions every day of my life. GrrArghGle : If you could bring back any dead character, who would it be? Joss : IF I could? Is there something stopping me? MeepMeep : Give us something on the new season of Buffy, please! Who's the big bad? Where's it set? Is Sunnydale going to be in it? Giles? Joss : The season will follow up on the events of the finale. BringerSlut : Will the First be in season 8? Joss : I'll never tell. Though, if the First wasn't going to be in season 8, I'd probably have no problem telling you... crap. Okay, the theme for season 8. Are you ready? Big revelation here. Prepare to be dazzled. The big theme is... Life. Yup. That's it. Boring ol' life. Same as every year. But this year we'll be dealing with who you were, who you are, and who you will be. It's all very brilliant.
