I Found The Gateway!
|
Once upon a time, a long, long time ago, there was a television series and its name was "Sliders".
"Sliders" was about a group of people with a device which allowed them to travel to parallel Earths.
Due to evil networks and horrible producers who came into the series for its later seasons, the series grew very sick
and died a horrible, painful death. (for more information, check out The Wiki Page and The Dimension Of Continuity)
Long story short, the later seasons sucked hard and the show never got a good finale.
Now, I've written a story which kinda-sorta picks up the story after the series ended... and years later.
If you were a fan of this cult classic, check out the script and let me know what you think.
If you weren't a fan... well, read it anyway. Maybe you'll like the concept and want to check out the series.
The image above links to the HTML version of the script. PDF is available to the right side of the page.
Also, if you're wondering if there will ever be another Superman script, the answer is yes. I plan to get to work on that
one pretty soon. No idea when it will be posted, but keep an eye on the site for updates. This is the third (and last) in the series
so if you haven't read the first two, now is as good a time as any.

Up, Up, And Away!
|
Here it is. The sequel to my Superman movie script, The Birth Of Superman.
Battles will be fought. Lines will be crossed. By the end of this script, lives will be changed forever... in this completely non-canon fanfic universe.
So read it. Let me know what you think through any of the contact options to the right side of the page. If you like it, please tell your friends. The site could use some publicity.
If you hate it... shh. Nobody needs to know.
Links to the right. Two options with these scripts. HTML or printer friendly PDF. Enjoy!

Superman Lives!
|
For over a year, you've waited. You've stared at your screen with baited breath, dying a little bit each day as you've asked yourself what would happen next…
At least, that's how it played out in my head. In real life, most of you are probably reading this six months after I actually post it. Greetings from the past!
Anyway, here's the news. The sequel to my Superman script, "The Birth Of Superman" has been written and will be available to read on Wednesday, December 5, 2007. Mark your calendars. The wait is almost over for…
So, what is this one about? Who is the villain? Will Clark and Chloe finally hook up? I can't say much, but the answer may shock you.
Actually, I'm pretty sure that the answer to the Chloe thing is "No", since she doesn't seem to exist in this movie universe.
But the rest of the answers may shock you. Or not. I don't know.
In other news, I'm adding a PDF version of "The Birth Of Superman" and I will be making the new script available in the format as well. Easier reading and printing is always a good thing, right? I may get around to doing the same with the Buffy scripts, but that would take some work and I'm incredibly lazy… I mean, busy. So anyway, refresh your memory by reading "The Birth Of Superman" and then get ready for "The Life Of Superman".

New Stuff Coming Soon...ish
|
If you're wondering what's happening with all of the promised updates, I want to ensure you that I haven't forgotten.
I am working on some new things, like a section of my site which will be for general ramblings, book/movie/tv show/whatever reviews or comments... just whatever I feel like rambling on about. I don't want to call it a "blog" because I hate the word
"blog". It's just an ugly word that should die young. It'll be called something else. But not a blog. I would sooner call it a "blech" or an "insert barfing sound here".
On a more interesting (to one or two people anyway) note, I have started work on a sequel script for my "Birth Of Superman" story. I do intend to get that out soon. I was hoping for late September, but a neck injury has kept me off of the computer for the better part of the last few weeks. So no work has happened for a while.
On top of that, I have to write a fresh script for a movie that I want to produce, starting from scratch. This is original, non-fanfic stuff that you'll probably never know about when it is done, but it is still my priority, so that has to come first.
But I will get Superman done. I will. I have a plot. I have a baddie, or two, or three, or four, or five, or I'm not going to tell you the actual number. I have the opening written. I have the ending planned. I know some of that middle stuff with all of the boring character stories that detract from the very important action sequences and pretty explosions. It's coming. Stay tuned.
Thanks for checking in. The continued support is great motivation.

General Update
|
Nothing super exciting to report this time around. I've updated the Emma Paige Langley Plagiarism File with a timeline which
makes everything a little shorter and easier to follow. I've recently updated that timeline to include the dates in which YouTube and
Yahoo removed my materials from their pages.
I'm thinking up ideas for a new script to put on the site, but it's a little too early to talk about that. I'll just say that it's a sequel to
one that is already up. I've been kinda busy, so I don't know when I'll get that finished, but it would seem that my drive to write fanfic hasn't been
completely killed.
I'll post updates when there are updates to be posted.

You Wanted To Know?
|
I've gotten some questions about the whole "Forgotten Memories" plagiarism drama and up until now I've remained quiet because
an attorney was involved on my side of things and I wanted to handle it all grown-up and stuff... which really only works if Emma
actually responds to my attorney's letters. Which she didn't. Two letters and a month and a half to respond, and there wasn't a sound.
So my options were to either push this through all the legal options, which would be costly and she probably wouldn't respond to those and then
they'd become more costly and it would all take forever and get more and more annoying... Or I could do this. Post everything and let the fan community
decide for yourselves because it is all of you that we're hoping to impress with our shiny fanfic. It's all of you are being played by Emma Paige Langley
and she thinks nobody will notice.
Anyway, here it is. The Emma Paige Langley Plagiarism File!
Read. Comment in my guestbook or on my board, or in e-mails, or through smoke signals... whatever. You get the point.
Also, just to let you know, I do plan on updating parts of the site eventually. Changing some script formats to look better in certain browsers, and
possibly adding PDF files for easier printing if you're interested in that. Not sure when this will all happen, but I hope it is soon.
And the board is back up! At least for now. I had to take it down because of spambots, but I'm hoping that the problem is solved this time so I can keep it up. We'll see.
Okay, go read. It'll take a while.

The End Is Here! Part Six Of The "Once And For All" Miniseries Now Online!
|
This is it, folks. The end of my Buffy Season 8 universe is upon us. After tonight, there will be no more.
Who will live? Who will also live? Who will live as well, but in a completely different country? Who will buy a puppy?
Who will eat pancakes?
Okay, nobody's buying a puppy. But all bets are off, and I promise you that by the end of this episode, someone you know and love will be alive.
It's not a hollow threat either. And I'm not talking some weird "return from the grave" type of thing. This is for real. Someone who is alive and breathing
will continue to do so by the end of this episode...
Oh, just go read "All The Tomorrows" and let me know what you think of the episode and the miniseries as a whole.
Part 1 - "Two Years, Eight Months Later"
Part 2 - "The Long Way Home"
Part 3 - "Arrivals"
Part 4 - "The Bodies In Her Wake"
Part 5 - "Purpose"
Part 6 - "All The Tomorrows"
So, to quote some show that I can't quite remember the name of, "Where do we go from here?"
Well, at the moment, there are no plans for any new scripts to be written for the site. Not to say it will never happen,
but for now I think I'm going to focus on making a real job out of this writing thing, and possibly producing one of my original, non-fanfic
scripts that I haven't put online because I don't want them stolen... not that I don't trust each and every one of you.
So stay tuned. Keep an eye on the site. You never know when inspiration will strike and I'll be writing a sequel to my Superman script
that maybe one person read. And keep an eye on the big screen. You never know when I'll pop up there... Actually, you don't know my real name,
so you wouldn't know if I was up there even if you did see me. But watch anyway... Just go to a lot of movies.
And for those of you paying attention to the big fancy controversy that we have brewing here, I want to say thanks for the support. You guys rule.
I would love to come out and tell you every detail about this story, but for the moment, I've been advised by my attorney not to say too much.
For those not following the story... yes, it is as strange as it sounds, and no I can't explain more than I have.
Thank you, my readers, for following this wacky writing experiment. Whether you have been following me since "Scratch" first premiered on ye olde Geocities site, back on
September 30 2003, or you just stumbled upon the site recently, I have gotten nothing but great feedback and support. Even if you didn't love an episode, I still got a buzz hearing from you. Again I say, you rock.
Keep me bookmarked. Check back every so often. Say hi.
Read the damn Superman script!

Part Five Of The Miniseries, "Purpose" Now Online!
|
The second to last episode of this miniseries is now up!
Next week is it, folks. Three and a half years in the making, the end
of my season 8 universe is here!
This week's episode is called "Purpose", and involves various people doing things that are of, or relating to some sort of purpose...
Hey, I write the scripts. Let someone else make up good blurbs.
Part 1 - "Two Years, Eight Months Later"
Part 2 - "The Long Way Home"
Part 3 - "Arrivals"
Part 4 - "The Bodies In Her Wake"
Part 5 - "Purpose"
If you were reading about Joss' season 8 comic books and noticed a title for one of them that was oddly similar
to an episode of this miniseries, you aren't wrong.
I picked the title "The Long Way Home" because it fit the script. Then I saw the picture from the comic, and had one of those
"Oh, crap" moments.
This was purely coincidental. What can you do? It happens... with titles.

Part Four Of The Miniseries, "The Bodies In Her Wake" Now Online... Finally!
|
Sorry for the delay, folks. I had other website related duties to attend to that prevented me
from getting episode 4 online... and any other real work done, so don't be surprised if next week is late too.
Never fear though. It's here. Episode 4, "The Bodies In Her Wake" is now online for all to enjoy.
Click below. Read. Send feedback.
Part 1 - "Two Years, Eight Months Later"
Part 2 - "The Long Way Home"
Part 3 - "Arrivals"
Part 4 - "The Bodies In Her Wake"
Same notice as always here... Season 8 page will be updated, blah, blah, blah...

Dingoes Ate My Baby!
|
It has recently been brought to my attention that a fan film has begun circulating which incorporates a scene from my season 8 premiere, "Scratch" without permission and without giving credit to the brilliant
writer who worked so hard to bring that scene to the world.
I will not be posting a link to that film, or giving its name here, but I did want to mention it, and make it very clear that I was in no way associated with that piece of cinema.
I would also suggest that if you have a season 8 posted online, you contact me and I will give you the link to this movie so you can be sure that your material is safe.
The online fan community is a wonderful thing, and it is a real shame when that community is abused by someone claiming to be one of us.
Special thanks to the fan who brought this to my attention.

"Once And For All" Episode 3, "Arrivals" Now Online
|
Week three of this six-part miniseries is upon us.
"Arrivals" has the gang worried that Xander may have revealed too much information to the Council
in his reports. As they deal with that, a new girl in town becomes the victim of a stalker.
After you read it, let me know what you think.
Part 1 - "Two Years, Eight Months Later"
Part 2 - "The Long Way Home"
Part 3 - "Arrivals"
As I said before, there will eventually be links on the season 8 page, but for now you can access the desired
script by using the links above.

"Once And For All" episode 2, "The Long Way Home" Now Online
|
Week two of this six-part miniseries is here.
"The Long Way Home" is a pretty Dawn-centric episode which
tells of her journey back to Sunnydale. If you don't remember much of season 8, you might
want to skim a little before reading this one.
After you read it, be sure to voice your distain via the guestbook or e-mail!
Part 1 - "Two Years, Eight Months Later"
Part 2 - "The Long Way Home"
Eventually, there will be fancy links on the top of the season 8 page. For now, just click on one of the links above and
that will take you to the desired script.

New Smallville Script and a Buffy Announcement!
|
Another long while without an update, I know. The good news is that things
are about to change! Tonight I present to you a new "Smallville" script which
I call "Alternate". It's my take on how the show might tackle one of Superman's
classic villans.
The story takes place somewhere around the end of season 5, so anything that has
happened since then isn't taken into consideration. Keep that in mind.
Check it out by clicking HERE
or by clicking on the link in the "General Writings" section on the right. Let me know what you think.
Also, a special announcement that one or two of you may have possibly been waiting for.
Coming one week from tonight, January 16, I will begin posting new Buffy scripts!
This six-part miniseries will be a proper follow-up to season 8. If you want to know
how it all turned out, check back here one week from tonight!
The sad part is that this will be the final word on my season 8 universe. All bets are off because this is really the end. If I ever get the urge to write another Buffy
script, it will not be part of season 8.
Be warned, some will hate me a whole bunch at the end of those six weeks. Sorry.

It's A Boy!
|
No, I didn’t just give birth. If I had, that headline would be very, very
different.
This update is about the latest script to be placed on the site,
The Birth Of Superman. This is an original script, written by me, which you
can access by either clicking on the link to your right, or by clicking on the
image below.
Why did I write this? Well, frankly, Superman Returns sucked on so many
levels, it wasn’t even funny. I usually don’t expect much when I go into
comic book based movies, but I’ve been pleasantly surprised in the past. With
this movie, I was just astonished by the Ed Wood-ian badness and the utter
lack of… well, Superman. The essence of the character was completely lost and
there were just mind-boggling errors that I won’t go into now because this
isn’t about spoiling that movie.
So I do what any sensible loudmouth would do and I challenge myself to do it
better. Do I succeed? I can’t say that. It’s up to you, the readers. I can say
that I attempted to take the character seriously and I did the best I could. I
hope you all like it, but even if you don’t, I want to hear it! I ask those of
you who choose to read it to respond on the bboard, in the guestbook, through
e-mail, or by posting on other internet boards (because I’m nosey and as long
as I can search Google for the name of my script, I’ll probably come across
the places that mention it sooner or later)
Oh, and tell your friends!

New and Improved SomeplaceThatIsElse Front Page!
|
I know the page hasn’t been updated in quite while, but that doesn’t mean that
I’ve not been working on new additions. I’m just really slow. Seriously, like
REALLY slow.
I’m hoping that the new design will be easy to navigate. On your right, you
have all of the links that you will need in order to access my scripts. The
Buffy Season 8 section is still there, but I’ve decided to make the main page
a bit more general so you have a little more clicking to do in order to get to
it.
The reason for the less Buffy-centric design is that I am expanding my little
Someplace That Is Else universe to include more scripts that I feel the need
to write for whatever reason. Right now, this means The Birth Of Superman. I’m
not sure what will come next, but I’m sure that it will be very exciting. Like
The Birth Of The Flash, or The Birth Of Goldfish Crackers. Anything goes!
As for future updates… Well, they may not happen as soon as we’d all like, but
they will happen. The problem is that most of the things I write can’t really
be put out there for the general public to read. This means that it’s pretty
much limited to fan fiction unless I decide to write something original just
for the site with little hope of ever selling it. I’m not saying that it’s
never going to happen, but… well, it’s probably never going to happen. Only
time will tell.
For those of you who are waiting for that follow-up to Buffy Season 8, I want
to assure you that it is in the works. I am working on it, but it’s just not
there yet. I’m hoping to have this ready by January, but I’m not making and
solid promises there.
I will promise that in the style of season 8, it will be loved by some and
hated muchly by others. What can you do?
I suppose that’s it for now. The news updates won’t usually be this long
because I’m not looking to become a blogger. I just wanted to give you a
rundown of all that is going on with the site.
Enjoy
Special thanks for the site redesign go to ye who does almost all of the art
for the site, but shall be known only as Someone That Is Else. Writer of “The
Road To Hell” (yes, blame him!), painter of pretty season 8 cover art images,
maker of the kick-ass Scythe. In short, if he ever dies, the site’s screwed.

New Season 8 Script!
|
I have finally found time to complete a brand new script related to my Buffy Season 8 series!
It is called "Introducing Rupert Giles", and attempts to answer many "loose ends" and questions surrounding
the most influential adult in Buffy's life as she grew up.
click on the image below to or go to my Season 8 page, then click on the huge "advert" for the script!
Don't forget to let me know what you think of it... be it good or bad :o)
The message board, guestbook and eMail address are all still working (I hope).
